Don't feel like doing anything

Dear readers,

I know it's been a while since my last update. The problem is I don't feel like crafting or blogging these days. The main reason is that I'm going to move to another place. My mind is completely focused on moving and I feel a bit restless about it. So focussing on my hobbies  is pretty hard at the moment.

Today was the first day in several weeks I worked on a sewing project. It feels a bit uncomfortable, sitting behind my sewing machine. And I definitely miss the flow I use to have while sewing. I feel like a beginner again.

I'm not sure about the aim of this blogpost. I guess I wanted to share with you what's going on at the moment.

Have a nice weekend!

Heel irritant.

  2. I totally understand, Anthea! Sewing, crafting and blogging isn't "everything", and sometimes life needs to be lived :) We will all be here when you are set in your new home, and feel ready to get cracking again! Have a lovely summer and good luck moving ;)

  3. I totally get what you mean, you really have to get into the swing of things when going for a project. When do you move? Maybe you might generally think of things you might like to do once moved in or make a simple blouse? I see you are working on stripes:) Very interested to see what you come up with.

    1. I move next month. I should make something easier, but somehow I feel like I need to finish this striped dress first.

  4. Good luck with your move. There is so much to do and think about when moving, no wonder you have little room for crafting or blogging. Maybe, if you feel like sewing, make a cushion or some other small item for your new home.

  5. Anthea, I so understand you, totally! I had to move many times in my life, and I know how it is, so you don't have to feel bad about having no "motivation" for sewing and blogging (and yes, it's time-consuming!). Sewing, if you're doing it properly, is a passion, and if there is not the right mood, you will not feel happy doing it, and your sewing project will not turn out as you expected it. I have many UFOs, but I got used to it - I need to be in the right mood to finish each one of them, and suddenly they jump at me and I know it's the right time.

I'm sure you will find lots of motivation and inspiration to finish your projects and make new ones once you will be at your new place. :-) All the best for your move!

  9. That is totally normal when you're moving, dear gal. I put some beloved hobbies on old when I moved last, which was over two years ago now, and still haven't found the time or energy to pick them up again, though I really am hoping to before the year is out.

I wish you all the best with your move and this next exciting chapter in your life.

    ♥ Jessica
